Der dem Realismus verschriebene Dichter gehört zu den bedeutendsten deutschsprachigen Schriftstellern des 19. Jahrhunderts. Meyer starb am 28. November 1898 in Kilchberg bei Zürich.

Along the way, the grotesquerie of the treacherous political and religious rivalries and the horrific acts of the Parisian populous are heart wrenchingly told. I had to look up the 80 years war to understand the threads of the story, but the telling is masterful. A book well worth reading!Product details
