Ok I am writing this post for all book lovers out there especially fans of zombies. A couple of years ago I found a writer by the name of Joshua Guess. Now Josh wrote series called Living with the Dead. This series is set in "blog" format. It is from the POV of a man who loved zombie stories and saw what not a lot of other people saw when a virus started to spread. Now the premise of this series is how he and others he gathered coped with living and surviving in a world filled with dead trying to eat you and live people trying to kill you to take your stuff. It is a riveting account of survival in a world gone mad. After this series was complete he wrote another equally ingrossing series called The Fall. This series is set in the world of the Living Dead series but it is from the POV of one man Kell McDonald. This man was a scientist who's work was stolen by greedy corrupt people ( any of this sounding like real life) who corrupted his work and actually started the plague. Now The Fall has people from Living with the Dead show up but it is Kell's journey and fight to make a cure. These books are totally awesome. Now I have discovered that Joshua Guess has started another series with one of the characters that appears in Living with the Dead and The Fall. So of course I have gotten the books and I went back and re-read both Living with the Dead and The Fall so I can jump into this new series. I quess what I am really getting at is if you like the television series The Walking Dead or if you like reading about zombies and you have not seen Joshua Guess work you really want to check it out, His book prices are extremely reasonable and the writing is superb. Please give him a try. OH FYI he does have a short story called Soldier Lost, please don't miss this book it is nothing short of spectacular.Product details

Revelation Day The Fall Book 6 eBook Joshua Guess Reviews
I've read all six books and liked them very much. They were smooth, interesting and well written. They fall somewhat into typical zombie literature, but in this case it's not a bad thing. I like how it's not just about the walking dead, but includes the aftermath of the society falling to pieces, the rebuilding and conflicts.
I have really grown to love the characters in this story. I am kind of sad to see this series end but it was a really good ending. I am really looking forward to the new books featuring some of the other characters I've met in this series.
What can be said about the series that conveys just how engrossing this story is except JUST GET IT. And expect for it to be hard to put down. I would love to see a movie or two come from this. Having read other works by JG, I have never been disappointed. Kinda sad the story is over!
Kell has worked hard and fought hard for a long long time and he is a good man. But some out there still want to use him as a scrape goat.
With war looming, a cure found and a country who could be friend or foe Mason ventures into possible enemy territory.
O yeah, and there are freaking zombies everywhere that want to eat faces and rip limbs off.
This was a brilliant, wild ride and a fitting conclusion to Kell's long journey.
Josh does a great job wrapping up Kell's story. The group has to face something more terrible than zombies or marauders ... NERDS. Thats all I can say without giving things away. This last bit is for Josh. Dont let this world end, you have so many stories available and you cant tell them to us. I know you want to spread your wings in other directions but dont forget this wonderful word you brought us all into.
This was a great cap to Kells story. There are many great plot turns and the dialog is top notch. The story has the right amount of details. The author's writing has matured over the years and I look forward to reading more from him.

My man, thanks for a really awesome series. Kell let me see a character who looked like me, but sans any of the BS cliches or tropes. A brother got a chance to be the lead while remaining perfectly himself.
Another reason why I love your first series and Kell's, is because there are no super soldiers or Special Forces to be used as would be saviors. That trend is so overdone.
The world of the Fall is all about normal people doing normal things, and also horrible things to survive. More importantly, the shared universe is really about community, and what it takes to create, maintain and protect one.
This is a world of characters free from the universal tokenism that is so prevalent in sci-fi. Outside of the Walking Dead, this universe is populated as if you were on the way to work when the wheels fell off.
You get to know each character and you understand how they came to be who they are.
I'm getting long winded, so let me just say that for anyone on the fence. Get your Culo down!
You'll enjoy the humanity of the characters, but you'll really get a kick out of not being able to tell how things are going to end. Why? Because the progression isn't contingent on Kell surviving.
Again, Josh, thanks for introducing Kell. He's now up there with Luke Cage!!
